My Pledge To Leave My Phone Alone
I pledge to leave my cell/smart phone, tablet or iPod alone during family time or time with my loved one(s). Family time and/or time with my loved one(s) includes but is not limited to dinner time, reading time, TV time, movie time or whatever my family or loved one(s) are doing that requires my full attention.
By taking this pledge, I am taking a step toward building healthy relationships with my family members and loved one(s). I understand that these devices are negatively affecting my communication and listening skills with them. I understand that these devices are not a priority or more important than my family or loved one(s).
Upon signing this document, I will leave my cell/smart phone, tablet or iPod in another room or completely shut it down so it will not distract me or take away precious time with my family or loved one(s). I am making my family and loved ones a priority.
Signed on this day of , 2015.
PS- I also know the extreme danger of texting and driving. I will not text and drive or even look at my phone while my vehicle is in motion.
